Uncharted PC: How To Enable HDR

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection finally brings the Uncharted series to PC, including some of the best graphics you will ever see. From lush jungle to hectic markets, both games have aged pretty well and look better than ever, especially with the extra power afforded by playing on PC. But can you enable HDR with the Uncharted games on PC?

The answer is no, you cannot enable HDR with Uncharted on PC in either Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy. Unless we’ve missed something, the only option is to change the brightness, which is a bit of a shame. However, depending on your monitor, you may be able to “force” a pseudo-HDR effect for both games, but bear in mind that it may not come across all too well, especially when capturing footage.

No HDR in Uncharted on PC is a bit of a surprise considering the games are made to be photogenic, with HDR being something that really helps to make photos pop. What makes it somewhat stranger is that the PS5 version of the Legacy of Thieves Collection has a HDR toggle readily available, so there must be some reason why Uncharted on PC isn’t supported with HDR.

Hopefully, Naughty Dog will update the game(s) down the line to add a HDR toggle. For now, you can only twiddle about with brightness and hope for the best.
