WBC Heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury, was successful in defending his championships against Dillan Whyte in a huge Boxing event. Following his victory, Fury made comments regarding a potential return to WWE as part of the upcoming UK pay-per-view in September. Rumours have been circulating of a potential clash between Fury and Drew McIntyre, something which ‘The Scottish Warrior’ has been pushing for since Fury’s first wrestling match back in 2019 against Braun Strowman.

During the post-match press conference, ‘The Gypsy King’ alluded to talks having taken place between his agents and Vince McMahon. Tyson made the following comments:

“Don’t rule me out of fighting there [WWE]. You might see me at SummerSlam, too. I’ve got to speak to Vince and the boys, maybe make this happen. I know Drew McIntyre has been saying a lot of things about me. I’ll knock him out, like I did his pal. I’d love to be at Cardiff.”

So it’s only a matter of time before this mega-match between two of combat-sports’ biggest stars, mass media will surely be keeping their eyes fixed on WWE around the Summer season to see if this is finally confirmed for Cardiff.
