As you grow your campus operation in Two Point Campus, your entire management system will need to operate like a well-oiled machine. Minimizing traffic is a big part of the game and ensuring that the right people are assigned to the right job for maximum benefit.
The best way to optimize your management system in Two Point Campus is to assign tasks to staff and specialize rooms to service specific courses, especially when you get to later stages of each mission. Unlike in Two Point Hospital, where you could only assign tasks to staff, you now have greater control of your rooms this time around.
Selecting specific tasks for the desired staff member will ensure that person will only perform those tasks. Selecting a specific course for a room will mean only students and teachers assigned to that course can utilize that room. You can also do this with bathrooms and dorms to assign them to staff, students, or members specializing in a specific course.
Be wary, however, as every time you start an academic year, the game will automatically set up a timetable for all your courses and room availability, and specializing rooms will affect and mess with that timeline, meaning you might need to build extra rooms to ensure all classes are covered.
To assign a task to a staff member, first, hover your cursor over a staff member and click on them, or alternatively go to the staff management menu at the bottom of the screen and select the desired faculty from there. With staff selected, in the information panel on the right side of the screen, select the Job Assignment tab (second-to-last tab).
By default, all available jobs are checked, so uncheck all the jobs you want the staff to avoid. Alternatively, if there’s some job you want them to do, make sure that it’s checked in this menu. Take note that grayed-out tasks mean that the selected staff member can’t take on that job.
To assign a specialization or permission for a room, select the desired room and in the room overview menu of the information panel (right of the screen), check or uncheck permissions to allow or disallow certain courses from holding their classes in the selected room, respectively.
