NXT UK star Travis Banks is returning to PROGRESS Wrestling to once again compete in the 2020 Super Strong Style 16 Tournament. ‘The Kiwi Buzzsaw’ marks his fourth consecutive SSS16 tournament, joining the likes of Chris Ridgeway and Jonathan Gresham for this year’s stacked line-up.
Trav has quite the history when it comes to the Super Strong Style weekender. Banks went the distance and won the whole shebang in 2017, defeating Tyler Bate in the finals in a hotly contested match, and coming incredibly close to making it to last year’s finals before losing to David Starr in the semis.

Travis last appeared for PROGRESS at the annual Unboxing event in December, bringing back his eccentric ‘Sexy Trav’ gimmick for the Reverse Battle Royal. Having left his feud with former teammates TK Cooper and NIWA simmering on the back burner, Banks has plenty of unfinished business to return to as part of Super Strong Style. But with NXT UK obligations now becoming more and more pressing, might this be the last time we see Travis compete under the PROGRESS banner?
Travis has proven himself to be a keen mainstay of PROGRESS Wrestling. Could ‘The Kiwi Buzzsaw’ once again stake claim to the PROGRESS World Championship at Super Strong Style 16? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
