Arms & Hearts and Stray Weather will be heading out on a UK tour at the end of the month for “an all singing all dancing fun bonanza”.
They’re joined by Midlands musician Ayres on select dates.
The tour of “punk and poetry” starts on July 28th in Leeds. It works its way down to Bournemouth and finishes back up in Annan on August 6th.
Spoken word artist Stray Weather said:”With the risk of blowing my own trumpet, it’s a mixture of goods to deliver! Not every DIY tour on this earth offers punk and poetry so it’s nice to be bringing your trusted folk punk goodies and your poetic justice vibes.”
‘Aptly named’ Arms & Hearts added: “I guarantee everyone on the tour will put their heart and soul into every performance.”
The Manchester based musician cites influences of The Gaslight Anthem and Chuck Ragan. He describes his music as “post adolescent misery”.
Stray Weather, a performance poet with ‘princess hair’ is tangibly excited for the shows. He said: “We’ve booked this tour between the two of us so we’d be grateful to be playing to some people and not just to each other! Although I probably wouldn’t mind.”
Ayres describe herself as a “nihilistic musician who believes in nothing but the power of art”. She said: “I’m as excited as a puppy.
“I’m shocked every time I’m not booed off stage so this is going to be ridiculously fun.”
