TNA’s British Invasion Reunite On NWA Powerrr

Aldis & Williams are back on tour.

Nick Aldis

On this week’s episode of NWA Powerrr, Nick Aldis and Doug Williams reformed their alliance and reunited under the British Invasion moniker. This marked the first time that the two Brits had fought together since 2014. The British Invasion defeated the team of PJ and Luke Hawx shortly after confirming their intentions to storm through the NWA Tag division.

The group was first formed in 2009 with Aldis (known then as Magnus) aligning with ring-veteran Doug Williams and newcomer Rob Terry. The British Invasion would find success in TNA, capturing both the TNA and IWGP World Tag Team Championships during their first run.

The Invasion went their separate ways with ‘The National Treasure’ Nick Aldis going onto become one of NWA’s biggest stars and longest reigning champions. Williams would come in and out of retirement and Rob Terry dropped off of the face of the Earth.

With the British Invasion now back together again, who knows what this could mean for their respective careers and the NWA Tag division.
