Plague RPG Thymesia Delayed, Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

You’ll have to wait a longer for Thymesia, but you’ll get it on more platforms.

Developer OverBorder Studio and publisher Team17 have announced that their action RPG Thymesia, initially scheduled for a December 7th, 2021 launch on PC, will now launch in 2022, and also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Team17 issued a statement on the game’s Steam page:
“Together with our publisher Team17, we had made the difficult decision to delay the launch of Thymesia into 2022. As a community you have been so amazing in your support, and we know this will come as a disappointment to many, but our goal is to release Thymesia in the best possible state, and to do this, we need a little longer to work on the finishing touches.”

Thymesia takes place in a fantasy European setting, where the main character, the amnesiac Corvus must battle through a crumbling empire that has collapsed through the use of alchemy and dark magic. Players will use different disease-based abilities pulled from different bosses like some kind of plague doctor version of Megaman to fight their way through this mad world.

Players will also be able to transform into a raven for new traversal and combat abilities, and Thymesia will allow players to tailor their character build and their gameplay style to their preferences.

Thymesia will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2022.
