Some big announcements could be planned here.

Not one to be outdone by the announcement from Sony of a PlayStation Showcase, THQ Nordic have revealed that, in celebration of their 10th anniversary, they’ll be hosting a special digital conference to reveal some of their upcoming line-up of games. Here’s everything you need to know.

What Time Is The THQ Nordic 10th Anniversary Showcase?

The THQ Nordic 10th Anniversary Showcase will take place on September 17th at 9 pm CEST / 12:00 PM PDT / 8 PM BST , and will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, so if you didn’t get enough of him at Gamescom, here’s some more. However, you might want to turn up early, as THQ Nordic have confirmed that they’ll be teasing what developers Handy Games have been working on during the pre-show.

Where Can I Watch The THQ Nordic 10th Anniversary Showcase?

The Showcase will be available to watch on THQ Nordic’s YouTube, Twitch and Steam pages. To be honest, broadcasting through Steam like this is a new one for me, but if that’s how you want to watch publisher’s show off their portfolio, more power to you.

What Games Will Be Featured At THQ Nordic’s 1oth Anniversary Showcase?

We’ve already spoken about how THQ Nordic have teased the involvement of Handy Games during the pre-show, but that’s not the only confirmed announcement. Already announced is new information and footage for ELEX 2 and Expeditions: Rome. On top of that, we will see six new game announcements from the showcase.

Already, speculation has been rife about what these six games are, with one enticing theory being something SpongeBob related as the 10th Anniversary image from THQ Nordic features new Spongebob art.

Some are also pointing to a TimeSplitters announcement, but currently that’s a Deep Silver property. Now, THQ Nordic and Deep Silver are both owned by Embracer Group, but for the most part, each branch appears to operate with their own autonomy. THQ Nordic confirmed to a fan on Twitter that Saints Row, which is getting the reboot treatment, won’t be appearing as it’s owned by Deep Silver, so it’s fair to assume that the same would apply to TimeSplitters.

However, one safe-ish prediction would be a potential Destroy All Humans! 2 remake. Black Forest Games have been hiring for a project they’re not so subtly codenaming Project Cattleprod 2. The hiring post including concept art of a remade area from the original DAH! 2, but the question is if this THQ Nordic showcase is too soon to announce the project. Time will tell.
