The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 Launches In January 2019

Still not bitten.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Just announced at the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s third episode, Broken Toys, will launch on January 15th, 2019.

Now in the hands of Skybound Games but still bearing the Telltale moniker, the new trailer for the episode does not feature new footage but acts as more of a recap of Clem’s journey to date. What’s interesting, however, is it sounds like Lee will play some part with all-new voice lines seemingly recorded for the new episode. It’s also good to see Javier, though I think I may be the only one.

However, while the trailer mentions it will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, there seems to be no confirmation of a PC release just yet. The trailer for the episode on YouTube points to a link for more information that does not explain anything.

For those not in the know, The Walking Dead: The Final Season was in serious jeopardy following the closure of Telltale Games. Skybound, who publish the comic books the adaptation is based on, stepped in at last minute to finish off the last adventure for Clementine and hired on a lot of the ex-Telltale staff. Broken Toys will be the penultimate episode of the series.
