The Revival captured their second Raw Tag Team Championships last night on Raw, defeating both The Usos and Hawkins & Ryder in a huge three-way title match. The Revival have become a bit of a joke amongst the Raw Tag division, being the butt of several damning backstage segments with The Usos. Fortunately for them, someone backstage must be fighting for them to be taken seriously, as they are now two time Tag Champs on the main roster.
Dawson and Wilder have been extremely vocal on social media about their disdain for the main roster, often being names cited for a potential move to Tuesday Night’s as part of AEW’s new television deal. Perhaps this second title reign is Vince’s way of keeping them on board, but if their first championship run was anything to go by, I wouldn’t expect anything spectacular.
A smart bet might be that The Revival will drop the titles to The Usos at WWE Stomping Ground, which should hopefully be one of the better tag matches we’ve seen in some time. Either way I hope WWE get over this need to make one of their standout tag teams look like a joke.
