As confirmed by WWE themselves, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival have officially been granted their release from WWE contracts. Their release is effective of today’s news with the mandatory 90 day inactivity clause now in effect.

The Revival have been quite outspoken with regards to their dissatisfaction with how their WWE careers have panned out. Coming from humble backgrounds in NXT and working their way up through the Tag division, Dawson and Wilder quickly became one of the most talked about tag teams in the world today.

Their matches with the likes of DIY, The Authors of Pain and American Alpha were widely considered some of the best examples of Tag wrestling WWE have managed to put together since the early 00’s. After debuting on the main roster, The Revival managed to procure two separate Tag title reigns, feuding with some of the biggest teams including The New Day and The Usos.

Dawson and Wilder are both expected to eventually sign with AEW, fulfilling the bubbling feuds between them and members of The Elite. Wrestling fans are yearning to see this monumental signing, one which will presumably take AEW’s Tag division to the next level.
