The official Twitter account for the Mafia series has surprisingly reawakened, after nearly two years of inactivity. In their first tweet back, the account simply uses one word: “Family”.

The tweet coincides with American Mother’s Day, which took place yesterday, but it’s possible that the tweet is setting up for a long rumoured pair of Definitive Editions. Last month, ratings for both Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 Definitive Editions appeared on the website of the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee.
The listings were registered by Take-Two Asia, with Mafia 3 developer Hanger 13 working on the project while 2K Games are publishing. Naturally, the Definitive Editions are coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Are you excited for the return of the Mafia series? Let us know in the comments down below.
