The Invisible Hand

The stock market, or stonks if you prefer, has been a big part of the news of 2021, especially with the rise of Gamestop. It’s perhaps fortuitous for Power Struggle Games that The Invisible Hand, a satirical stock market trading game, is launching on May 7th for PC. Check out the live-action trailer at the top of the page.

What Is The Invisible Hand?

The Invisible Hand is a first-person satirical stock market trading simulator, which is a bit of a mouthful of a description, sure. The game opens on your first day working for the brokerage FERIOS, who show a blatant disregard to law and where the only thing that matters is profit. So long as those stonks go up, or down if you’re in the business of shorts.

You would think that a game like The Invisible Hand would have been dreamed up due to the events of this year and the enhanced focus that the stock market has received. In truth, this is the first game from Power Struggle, a French game dev collective formed in 2015. The Invisible Hand just happens to be their first major project, but they’ve got an aim to produce games “intent on dismantling Capitalism from the inside”.

How Much Will The Invisible Hand Cost?

The Invisible Hand will cost $12.99 on PC via Steam, GOG and Humble, though fans can also purchase a Deep Pockets Edition which includes the full game and original soundtrack for $16.99.
