The Honky Tonk Man Is The Next WWE Hall of Fame 2019 Inductee

One of the most legendary Intercontinental Champions gets his turn in the spotlight.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019

The Hall of Fame 2019 class is already shaping up to be quite an eccentric bunch, with D-Generation X being announced as the headliners for this year. WWE have just announced the class’s second inductee, The Honky Tonk Man.

The Honky Tonk Man was famous for his lengthy Intercontinental Championship reign in the late eighties, holding it for 454 days before dropping it in convincing fashion to The Ultimate Warrior at SummerSlam.

The Elvis impersonator became a household name during the golden era of WWE, performing as both a singles and a tag competitor alongside Jimmy Hart and Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine. The trio would often serenade the fans with a rendition of Rhythm and Blues, oozing 60’s vibes from their pink Cadillac.

Congratulations to Honky, who will be joining the illustrious Hall of Fame over WrestleMania weekend. We can only hope he brings along his guitar for a duet with Elias.
