The Council: Episode 2 Launching Next Week

The Council

Big Bad Wolf and Focus Home Interactive have announced the release date for episode 2 of their 18th century narrative adventure game The Council. Entitled “Hide And Seek”, the new episode will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 15th if you own the Season Pass or Complete Season version of the game, and yes, Episode 1 is required to play it.

If you don’t own the Season Pass, you’ll have to wait two days before you can download it. Still, good news for Xbox One owners at least, as The Council is on sale for the next week, along with a host of Focus Home Interactive titles. Currently, you can save 25% on the Complete Season, or 30% on the Season Pass alone.

Episode 2 will continue Louis De Richet’s investigation into his mother’s disappearance on a private island. The choices you made in episode 1 will bleed over into the second episode, as new characters are introduced and alliances begin to form. The first instalment already contained some bombshells, but it seems that the revelations have only just begun.

We reviewed episode 1 of The Council when it launched back in March, and though we were critical of the graphics and animation, we couldn’t help but fall in love with the game:

A strong start for the latest in a long wave of episodic narrative adventure games, The Council sets its stall out from the beginning as something unique, inventive and deserving of your attention.
