Reports from E3’s Gaming Expo this week have revealed that Telltale Games have struck a licensing deal with Netflix to create a Stranger Things game. This news comes in a series of tweets in which the company announced that they would be creating a Minecraft: Story Mode interactive adventure for the Netflix platform.
We're delighted by the response we're seeing to the idea of Minecraft: Story Mode coming to @Netflix in the fall as an interactive adventure. (1/3)

Our partnership with Netflix is something we're incredibly proud of, and while we don't have anything more to share right now, we're excited to reveal details on these projects later in the year. (3/3)

Telltale confirmed that they would bring the Stranger Things title to consoles and computers at a later date with more details to be revealed later this year. Netflix also commented on the announcement with Techradar that the game would be a means of promotion for their series and not an interactive game on their platform like Minecraft: Story Mode.
Telltale’s upcoming release, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, will release on August 14th 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android, and will conclude the story of Clementine which began in 2012. Stranger Things, on the other hand, begun production for Season 3 in April with eight episodes scheduled for development. Executive producer Shawn Levy confirmed a fourth season would definitely be happening.
How Telltale decides to tackle the narrative of Stranger Things will be interesting and no doubt an entertaining experience.
