Streets of Rage 4

Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have announced that their long-awaited beat ’em up revival, Streets of Rage 4, will be launching on April 30th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. Check out the release date reveal trailer below.

The release date wasn’t the only information shared in the trailer, as Streets of Rage 4 will also launch with a PvP Battle Mode, where players can duke it out to determine who is the champion of Wood Oak City. With 17 playable characters, 12 of which are retro pixel art sprites from previous entries in the series, and 8 separate arenas, the Battle Mode should keep players occupied long after the credits roll.

Streets of Rage 4 will featured a Limited Run physical release for PS4 and the Nintendo Switch, with custom steelbook artwork and a custom SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) clam shell, with pre-orders now live on the Limited Run website. Xbox owners shouldn’t feel too hard done by though, as the game will launch as part of Xbox Game Pass.
