Street Fighter 6 marks a return of Capcom’s flagship fighting game series to Xbox, as the previous entry, Street Fighter V, remained exclusive to PlayStation and PC for the duration of its lifespan. With announcements like Guilty Gear Strive and Ni No Kuni 2 coming to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, many fans are now wondering whether or not Street Fighter 6 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass as well.
The answer is no, Street Fighter 6 will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch, though that doesn’t necessarily rule out an addition to the service later on in the game’s life cycle, as Super Street Fighter IV has previously been on the service.
Currently, Street Fighter 6 is available to pre-order on the Xbox Store, with three different versions. The standard edition of Street Fighter 6 includes just the base game, and an additional colour scheme for the characters Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri and Ken.
The Deluxe Edition includes all that, plus the Year 1 Character Pass, which includes four additonal characters, Outfit 1 Colours 3-10 for those characters, and 4,200 Drive Tickets to be spent in-game. Finally, the Ultimate Edition has the Ultimate Pass, which features everything in the Character Pass plus colours 3-10 for Outfits 2 and 3, 2 additional stages and 7,700 Drive Tickets.
About Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6 is the next instalment in the long-running franchise, which will shine the spotlight on a new generation of characters. You know, just like they did in Street Fighter 3, making this the new new generation. Characters like Luke, Jamie, Manon, Marisa and others are rubbing shoulders with classic characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile and Blanka.
While players will be able to head online and do battle to become the greatest in the world like they always have, Street Fighter 6 bolsters the franchise’s single player offerings with a World Tour mode, allowing players to create their own character and explore the world of Street Fighter, learning from the various characters along the way.
Street Fighter 6 is set to launch on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S on June 2nd, 2023.
