Steam Is Currently Struggling To Download Games

If you think Steam is down right now and you can’t download your games, you aren’t the only one, with Steam suffering worldwide issues since about 1:30 PM GMT on February 2nd, 2023.

It seems that Steam is currently mostly online, but players are unable to download any new games with a spike in error reports for downloads. However, it seems that some updates work just fine, though it really appears to be on a game-by-game basis. For us, a new game that we were trying to download just outright wouldn’t connect with a no internet connection error, while we could briefly download an update before a “content servers unreachable” message popped up.

If you’re struggling to download new games right now, hang in there. Valve is typically very fast at dealing with issues like these, and you should be able to play any games that you already have without any problems.

Once Steam is back online properly, be sure to check out Dorfromantik for your Steam Deck, a very chill city builder that we can’t get enough of. If you’re sick of other launchers, also check out how you can play League of Legends on Steam too.
