State of Play: The Last of Us 2, MediEvil, Death Stranding & More

Everything that went down.

The Last of us 2

Didn’t have time to watch State of Play, or maybe you just wanted to wait until after for the crib notes for what went down to temper your hype? We’ve got you either way with a brief recap of everything that went down during Sony’s latest sizzle reel. This is all in chronological order.

Humanity

Enhance’s new game looks a lot like a grim Human Fall Flat meets World War Z. Out 2020.

Modern Warfare

New campaign trailer released, looks sufficiently gritty. Out October 24th.

Wattam

The long overdue Wattam finally has a release date: December 2019. Bit of a rough spot to chuck it out in, to be honest.

Arise

A beautiful new game from Techland and Piccolo was revealed, though they haven’t been nice enough to upload a trailer separately yet. No release date, either.

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files has had a surprise release on PSVR. It’s a spin-off from the main game, but in VR. It’s been a major hit on PC, so here’s hoping it translates well.

MediEvil

A new MediEvil demo will be landing on PS4 today. Completing the demo will give you access to Dan’s Helmet for the full game. MediEvil is out October 25th.

Civilization VI

Civ VI is about to pillage its way onto PS4, a bit late considering it’s somehow already on Switch. Launches November 22nd.

Death Stranding

A new bundle was revealed for Death Stranding. The controller looks nice, the PS4 itself looks bad. Death Stranding is out in November.

Afterparty

Afterparty, a game in which you must drink Satan under the table, shared its launch trailer. Out on October 29th.

The Last of Us 2

Joel is alive, and we got a release date: February 21st, 2020. Crying shame about Ellie’s love, though. But Joel!
