If you thought there wasn’t enough news or game announcements going around beforehand, Sony have decided to inundate you with some. Today, they’ve announced they’re hosting another State of Play stream, which will include updates and announcements. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

When Is The October 2021 State Of Play?

The October 2021 State of Play will take place on October 27th at 2:00pm PT / 10:00pm BST. The presentation will last for around 20 minutes, so it’s a shorter one than other gaming presentations. That said, I’m sure Sony will find a way to make those 20 minutes as filled with announcements as possible.

Where Can I Watch The State Of Play?

As usual, the State of Play will be broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube, meaning those are the best places to watch this presentation.

What Games Will Be Featured During This State Of Play?

PlayStation published a blog post to offer more details about what this new State of Play will entail, and for anyone expecting a host of new information regarding Horizon: Forbidden West or God of War: Ragnarok will find themselves wanting.

Instead, Sony specify that this State of Play will be “focusing on announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4.” It’s not clear right now what those games will be, but one potential appearance could by GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, with a trailer showcasing gunplay ahead of its launch in a few weeks.
