Toys for Bob and Activision have announced that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, a remastered collection of the first three Spyro games, has been delayed. Originally, the collection was scheduled to launch on September 21st, but the release has now been pushed back until November 13th.

In a blog post on Activision’s website, co-studio head of Toys for Bob, Paul Yan, said the following: “We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care.”

Recently, Spyro Reignited Trilogy came under fire when it was revealed that only the first game would be available on disc, and players would have to download the second and third games. Naturally, the speculation is that Toys for Bob are going to spend the next two months cramming those games onto the disc, but it’s likely that the collection had other problems too.

Still, Spyro is still scheduled to be playable at Gamescom next week, and we’re also crossing our fingers that he’ll make an appearance at EGX in Birmingham next month. The Reignited Trilogy will be launching on November 13th for PS4 and Xbox One. Are you still excited? Let us know in the comments.
