During today’s Summer Game Fest showcase, Insomniac Games took to the stage to talk a little bit more about Spider-Man 2, their upcoming single-play epic coming to PS5. Along with sharing a couple of little tidbits about the game, along with the official cover art, Insomniac also revealed a release date: we’ll be web swinging around New York once again on October 20th.
The release date wasn’t the only aspect of the game that was revealed, as new art for Spider-Man 2 revealed Peter Parker and Miles Morales both fighting against a fully-fledged Venom. The first gameplay reveal saw the symbiote attached to Parker, leading many to question whether Parker would become Venom proper, but it would appear Parker and the symbiote aren’t a long-term partnership.
