You aren’t going to last for long in Sons of the Forest if you don’t stay warm and listen to your body. One of the best ways to do just that is to build a basic fire.
You will need the following items to build a basic fire in Sons of the Forest:
– 2x Stick
– Lighter
Sticks are very easy to find in Sons of the Forest and can be found more or less anywhere in the woods or on the beach. You can also use your axe to chop down smaller trees and get sticks that way.
With your sticks in your inventory, press I, then left click on the stick to then equip it. Look downward and left click again to snap the stick over your thigh, then follow the process again to use the other stick. You can actually use just one stick, but we don’t recommend it as it doesn’t last long at all.
Hold E to light the fire with your lighter and enjoy the warm glow of the temporary respite.
