Song Of Horror Coming To PlayStation & Xbox Next Month

This isn't the karaoke kind of song.

Song of Horror

Raiser Games and Protocol Games have announced that Song of Horror, their survival horror experience that’s already launched on PC, will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox on May 28th as a simultaneous release. To celebrate, there’s a new console launch trailer showcasing Song of Horror’s gameplay, and you can check it out at the top of the page.

What Is Song Of Horror?

The clue is sort of in the title, as Song of Horror is a horror game that sees players try to survive against a malevolent force known as The Presence. You play as one of 13 characters trying to find the whereabouts of the writer Sebastian P. Husher, a man who vanished without a trace with his entire family one day. As a third-person horror game, Song of Horror focuses on survival, running and hiding rather than fighting The Presence, which is based on AI that’s adapted to your actions.

Raiser Games co-founder Carlos Grupeli said the following about the launch in a press release: “We’ve always been incredibly humbled by the reception Song of Horror received from PC players, and now’s the time to drag console players into the brooding mystery the game has to offer. The survival-horror genre has such a long & rich history on both PlayStation and Xbox that it feels like absolutely the right home for our little ode to all that has gone before to an audience that truly appreciates real scares.”

What Platforms Is Song Of Horror Coming To?

Song of Horror is already available on PC via Steam, and will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on May 28th. The press release doesn’t confirm PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions specifically, but the game will be playable on the new hardware via backwards compatibility.

How Much Will Song of Horror Cost?

No pricing has been confirmed for Song of Horror on consoles, but the Complete Edition of the game on Steam (which includes all five episodes of the game as Song of Horror was originally released episodically) costs £24.99/$29.99. Hopefully, the console release doesn’t cost much more than that.
