When Is Snow White with the Red Hair: Season 3 Coming Out?

The second and most recent TV season ended on 28 March 2016 after 12 episodes, bringing the television adaptation to 24 episodes. The two 12-episode runs aired in July–September 2015 and January–March 2016, with a three-month break between them. They are commonly labelled Seasons 1 and 2, although the production was also described as two split cours. Bones’ official catalogue lists both broadcast periods separately.
One manga-bundled OAD was released on 5 January 2016, shortly before Season 2 began. It combines three bonus stories, including Zen and Shirayuki spending a day together, rather than continuing beyond the television finale. No anime film or further OVA has followed.
Neither Bones nor the programme’s surviving official broadcaster pages currently announce another season. This is not a formal cancellation, but a decade without production news leaves any suggested release window firmly in the realm of wishful royal correspondence.
What Could Snow White with the Red Hair: Season 3 Be About?
A third season could send Shirayuki and Ryu to Lilias, where their herbal knowledge becomes vital during a dangerous outbreak.
Season 2 leaves Shirayuki and Zen committed to building a future together while continuing to pursue their separate responsibilities. Assuming the anime resumes near the manga’s next major arc, Shirayuki would travel to Lilias with Ryu for work.
VIZ’s Volume 9 description reveals that a mysterious illness begins spreading soon after their arrival, forcing both herbalists to identify a cure before the city is overwhelmed. Zen and his companions learn about the emergency while travelling towards Wirant.
Subsequent material reunites the group while developing Kiki’s future, Mitsuhide’s loyalties and the practical difficulties surrounding Zen and Shirayuki’s social positions. The romance continues, but employment, medicine and royal duty remain inconveniently unwilling to arrange themselves around date night.
