This time last week we were getting you all teary-eyed and emotional, having given your heartstrings a good tug with our Single of the Week. I apologised profusely for only adding to your Monday blues, but it was worth it and you know it. This week, you’ll be relieved to know that things aren’t so teary-eyed. However, that’s not to say things don’t get emotional with our Single of the Week. It’s just that this time, things are of the fumbling, stumbling, drunk and romantic, mournful of misbehaving, variety of emotional.

Three-piece Trudy keep things romantic and ramshackle with their, not so much kitchen-sink drama but head-in-the-toilet-hungover tales of regret, delivered via a tossed together and trashy mix of guitar pop and 50s doo-wop. Imagine The Maccabees before they got expansive, The Libertines (when they were still rough around the edges) in ballad mode, and Arctic Monkeys when they were still Northern, all stripped back into wistfully heartbroken gems.

Their latest single, ‘Behave’, is no different and keeps the ball rolling, as well as the band falling (about the place), into the success and buzz they’ve already been steadily been building off the back of their previous single ‘All My Love’. ‘Behave’ is a three minute nugget of melancholy reverb, lo-fi and tremolo guitars, sweet leads, cracked vocals, and 50s harmonies. Check it out below, and remember when you were young and foolish. If you’re not young and foolish still that is.
