Summer is finally here, whether you want it to be or not. And what better way to get into the mood for it than shimmering indie-pop? Jerry Williams will give you a strong dose of that, then.

Her latest track ‘Mother’ is more exciting than a kid in an ice cream store, with a career to match. At 20 years old Jerry’s already packing out venues around her hometown of Portsmouth. If that wasn’t enough, she’s set to play Hyde Park this Saturday alongside Take That, Olly Murs and Ella Eyre.

Put Lily Allen and Eliza and the Bear in a blender together and you’ll get a colourful outcome somewhere close to Jerry Williams’ sound. Add the adolescent dilemmas Peace are so good at singing about, the bright energy of Saint Raymond and the attitude of Chloe Howl and you’ve hit the nail on the head.

The track is taken off her forthcoming EP Let’s Just Forget It, set for release on September 16th. After the success of Jerry’s Cold Beer EP last year, and her previous single ‘Boy Oh Boy’ getting nationwide airplay, it would seem she’s on track for big things.

Vocals as smooth as a Galaxy chocolate bar with instrumental like fairy lights? Listen to ‘Mother’ to add a little sunshine to your day.
