WWE have confirmed WrestleMania 38’s first main-event, that being the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Charlotte Flair and the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Ronda Rousey. It comes as no surprise that WWE have chosen to use Ronda in one of the two headlining spots over WrestleMania weekend, whether you like her or not, she’s a huge draw for the company and has got a lot of people talking since her return in January.

This will mark the second year in a row where female wrestlers have headlined a WrestleMania card, with last year’s historic match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair closing out Night 1 to a massive reception. Charlotte and Ronda will certainly live up to the hype this year, with a storied history dating back to WrestleMania 35, where the two competed alongside Becky Lynch in the first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event for both Women’s championships.

Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair both have the star-power to headline the first night of WrestleMania this year, and will be given ample pageantry to make this match worthy of the spot. Night 2’s main-event is yet to be confirmed but will most likely be the winner-takes-all clash between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
