Rig & New Character Diego Confirmed For Dead or Alive 6

Dead or Alive 6

In a new trailer that’s just gone live on IGN, two characters have been confirmed for the Dead or Alive 6 roster; Rig, a taekwondo practitioner who made his official debut in DOA5, and newcomer Diego, an underground street fighter with a wild brawling style.

In the gameplay footage shown, which you can check out below, the two characters couldn’t be more diametrically opposed. Rig is still a flashy son of a gun, favouring high speed kick combos with more flips than Will Ospreay vs Ricochet match. Diego is much more no-nonsense, opting for brutal ground and pounds and vicious headbutts.

Dead or Alive 6 is due to arrive in early 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with fan favourite characters like Kasumi, Ryu Hayabusa, Hayate, Zack, Helena and Jann Lee already confirmed. The newest instalment will also attempt to tone down the sexualisation that the series has become known for, which can only be a good thing. Hopefully it means less “sexy” DLC outfits too, because that was completely egregious.
