Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition, End of Zoe DLC & Not A Hero DLC Release Date Revealed

Not A Hero

One of the best horror games of the year is being celebrated by Capcom with the industry tradition of an “ultimate” edition, which will feature Resident Evil 7 and all of its DLC.

Due for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will feature the main game, both volumes of Banned Footage, and a new piece of DLC, End of Zoe, which will conclude Zoe’s story. The previously mentioned (and delayed) Not A Hero DLC, which will be free for everyone, is also included in the Gold edition.

Both new pieces of DLC will be available from the Gold edition’s release date, which is December 12th, 2017.

End of Zoe DLC

End of Zoe will focus on Zoe and feature new areas and enemies and will presumably be longer than Daughters -a seriously underwhelming extra piece of content- owing to the price. It costs £11.99/€14.99/$14.99 on its own or is part of the package for season pass holders.

Not A Hero will focus on Chris Redfield immediately following the events of the main game. Now a part of New Umbrella, Chris must fight his way to survival through dangerous plantations with his team – the press release does not allude to any mechanics relating to your team, sadly. The free DLC will also feature new enemies.

Both new pieces of content will also be playable via PlayStation VR.

Resident Evil 7 is one of our favourite games of the year with Kieran awarding it a hearty 9/10:

“This is the most impressive return to form I’ve seen in a long time. With heart-pounding scares, clever puzzles, and formidable enemies; Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is one of the best horror titles I’ve ever played.”
