Resident Evil 2 Guide: West Office Safe Combination

The West Office Safe combination in Resident Evil 2 will net you a very hand item, so here's what you need to do.

Resident Evil 2 remake 10

One of the great things about Resident Evil 2 is how it practically makes you fully explore everything in the hopes of getting more resources. While you can find some items knocking around and desks and in, erm, plant pots, some of the best stuff is locked away, the West Office safe included.

The West Office is situated almost opposite the Safety Deposit Room in the same room where you can unlock Leon’s desk — the safe itself is situated in the small office that also houses a zombie that can take about ten bullets to the head, so be wary of that.

You can find the combination to the West Office safe on some documents in the S.T.A.R.S Office.

That combination is left 9, right 15, left 7. Remember that your inputs are inverted, so when it says left, you should go right.

Your reward for unlocking the West Office safe is a Hip Pouch, which gives you two more inventory slots. You’re going to need that, especially if you want to stop running back and forth between an item box.

From our Resident Evil 2 review:

“Resident Evil 2 is, quite simply, one of the best remakes of all-time. Capcom have nailed their new vision of a classic just like they did back in 2002 by modernising a decades old game to feel like something completely fresh. Whether you want to take a trip down memory lane or are just experiencing the disconcerting decadence of the police station for the first time, Resident Evil 2 is the first essential purchase of 2019.”
