The first trailer for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released by Rockstar, and it’s about as stunning as you would expect. Although this comes almost a year after the open-world western adventure arrived on consoles, we can see that the PC version will certainly be worth the wait. Feast your eyes on a whole minute of pure aesthetically pleasing beauty in the trailer below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was already an incredible and technically advanced game when it was released on PS4 and Xbox One, so the fact that the PC version will feature additional visual improvements means it will be nothing short of extraordinary. Some of the aforementioned visual improvements will include enhanced lighting and shadow effects, more detailed textures, and better draw distances. Rockstar also promised that new content will be added to the story mode for the PC release, so it sounds like this will truly be the definitive version of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Seeing as this will also be the franchise’s PC debut, (we’re still baffled by the fact that the original Red Dead Redemption was never released on PC), it looks like Rockstar are making a clear effort to make this the best possible version of what was already a brilliant game.

We awarded Red Dead Redemption 2 a score of 9.5 out of 10 in our review last year, calling it “one of the most immersive and captivating open-world games ever made.” In other words, if you don’t have access to a console, there is no excuse not to purchase the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 when it arrives on November 5.
