UPDATE (02/09/2020):Â A day later, it’s been revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight will also be removed from Xbox Game Pass in the near future. The game isn’t mentioned in the official blog post that was published yesterday, but if you check out the Game Pass tab on the Xbox console, you’ll see it listed under “Leaving Soon”.
While no set date has been confirmed, it’s reasonable to assume that we’ll be saying goodbye to the World’s Greatest Detective on September 15th, alongside Jump Force and Gonner. Thanks to TrueAchievements for spotting this news.
ORIGINAL POST (01/09/2020): Today saw the announcement of a host of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass over the next two weeks, but as is always the case, we can’t say hello without saying goodbye, as four games will be leaving the subscription service soon. In fact, one of them is leaving today.
In the official blog post from Xbox, it was re-confirmed that NBA 2K21 would be leaving Xbox Game Pass for console today, while Red Dead Redemption 2 would be leaving the service on September 7th. These games were already revealed as part of last month’s removal announcement, but in case you forgot, consider this your reminder to finish the game quick.
As for the two other games that have been announced, it was revealed that on September 15th, Jump Force would be leaving Xbox Game Pass for Console, while Gonner: Blueberry Edition will be removed from both console and PC libraries. Of course, if you’d like to play any of these games before they’re gone, you’ll be able to take advantage of the 20% membership discount to purchase these games.
