Rayman Joins The Fight In Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla

It seems that just about every fighting game released these days needs to have at least one iconic guest character, so you probably won’t be too surprised to hear that Rayman will be showing up in Brawlhalla.

This announcement was made on Brawlhalla’s official Twitter account, which stated that Rayman will be available from November 6, the same day the game releases on the Xbox One and Switch.

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighter developed by Blue Mammoth Games, who were recently acquired by Ubisoft, making Rayman’s inclusion even less surprising. Clearly inspired by the Super Smash Bros. franchise, your goal in Brawlhalla is to knock your opponent out of the stage using any means necessary, leading to some very chaotic battles.

It’s been available on Steam and PlayStation 4 since last October, and is currently being showcased at PAX West. Although it’s free-to-play, all the microtransactions in Brawlhalla are purely cosmetic, so don’t worry about any of that pay-to-win garbage if you were thinking of adding it to your library.

Created by gaming legend Michel Ancel, Rayman first appeared in his own self-titled sidescroller back in 1995, before going on to become one of the most iconic characters in gaming. Although he was featured as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Rayman has never before appeared as a playable character in a fighting game, so fans should be rejoicing right now. Let’s just pray that Ubisoft won’t force Blue Mammoth to also add Rabbids into Brawlhalla.
