Raritanium is a resource in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart that’s used to upgrade your weapons.
You can find Raritanium in large crates or by defeating certain enemies, typically bosses. The amount of Raritanium you can earn varies from drop to drop. Any Raritanium found in a level looks like crystals on the map.
You will be able to use Raritanium for the first time after coming across Ms. Zurkon for the second time on Corson V. Talk to her and then the option to upgrade your weapons will be unlocked.
It’s not a very complex upgrade system, just keep levelling up your weapons by using them. The more you level up, the more cells will become available for you to unlock. If you unlock the cells all around a group of yellow cells, you will then unlock Gold Cells, which will give you a mad to make your weapon even more useful.
