Rainbow Six Siege Progress On PS4 and Xbox One Will Carry Over To Next-Gen

Phew, no need to grind again then.

Rainbow Six Siege

Revealed last night during UbiForward but somewhat buried under the deluge of game announcements, Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege will allows players on PS4 and Xbox One to carry their progress over to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when both consoles launch.

Players will be able to look forward to significant upgrades on the new consoles, including 4K and 120 FPS with render scaling. While there was no news on the Series S to accompany the announcement, we prodded Ubisoft and they’ve confirmed that S will also get the same upgrades as PS5 and Series X.

As well as that, players on next-gen will be able to play with current-gen players as Siege is cross-gen supported.

For those who already own Siege on current consoles, you will be able to play on next-gen from day one. You will need a disc drive PS5 to play your PS4 disc version for free. If buying Siege brand new, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be the same price as they are elsewhere.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently in the midst of Operation Shadow Legacy, which brings (kind of but not really) Sam Fisher to the game.

Rainbow Six Siege is out now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will arrive at some this year.
