OPFOR has the bomb.

Rainbow Six Siege

Despite being over seven years old at this point, Rainbow Six Siege is still one of the most popular and enduring multiplayer shooters on the market, being enjoyed by thousands of players each month across the world. With a dedicated player-base across multiple platforms, most players have been wondering whether or not Siege features crossplay.

The answer is yes, Rainbow Six Siege does include crossplay and cross progression. The feature was added as part of Year 7 Season 4, titled Solar Raid, which also introduced a defensive operator called Solis.

The crossplay allows players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S to play together using their Ubisoft Connect account, while cross-progression will ensure that players’ progress, currencies and items will be available across all platforms, including PC and Amazon Luna. Crossplay will be active by default for players, but you will need to sign in to a Ubisoft Connect account in order to use the feature.

While crossplay is an exciting addition for Rainbow Six Siege, which should help ensure that the game continues to be played for a long time coming, there’s obviously going to be a contingent of players who’d rather disable the crossplay feature. In order to do so, you need to head to the General tab of the options menu, then select Crossplay Matchmaking and turn the feature off. This will ensure that you’re only matched with players on your current platform family (PS4 and PS5/Xbox One and XBXS respectively), though this will increase your overall matchmaking time.

Rainbow Six Siege is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One.
