Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction Extracts A Release Date

When can you and your pals shoot some aliens after work? Sooner than you might think.

Ubisoft has revealed a worldwide release date for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction. The game will be released worldwide on January 20th, 2022.

In addition, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will also launch with a cross-play Buddy Pass system, which will allow players who own the game to invite two friends to play the game for free for up to two weeks, after which points the friends would need to purchase the game to continue playing.

Rainbow Six Extraction began as a variation on Rainbow Six Siege’s limited-time Outbreak mode where players fought off swarms of aliens. The game was first revealed at E3 2019 under the name Rainbow Six Quarantine, and focuses on players using various characters and special skills to fight back against an occupying alien force called the Archaeans.

Rainbow Six Extraction will also support full cross-play, cross-save and cross-progression across all of its platforms.

Pre-orders of both the standard and deluxe edition will allow players to access additional content packs and cosmetic items.

Players who pick up Extraction and are already playing Rainbow Six Siege will receive an in-game reward called the United Front bundle, which contains four exclusive gearsets, split between both games, and will additionally unlock Extraction’s roster of 18 operators within Siege.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction releases on January 20th on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Stadia.
