Psychological Horror Game What Happened Coming To Steam July 30th

High school never ends.

What Happened

Developers Genius Slacker have announced that their first person horror adventure, What Happened, will be launching on PC via Steam on July 30th, proving that the horrors of high school never truly leave you. To celebrate the release date news, the developers have published a Dev Diary video regarding the game’s influences and more.

Being published by indie publishers Katnappe, What Happened tells the story of Stiles, a high school student forced to confront the demons that plague his mind. With his self-destructive path powered by confused memories and drug-induced hallucinations, players will have to investigate these visions to steer Stiles back into the light.

What Happened will be powered by Unreal Engine 4, and looks to be an ambitious take on showcasing the effects of anxiety and depression in adolescents. The game will be available on Steam on July 30th via Steam, and will be coming to consoles at a later date. Will you be playing What Happened at launch? Sound off in the comments.
