Predicting The AEW All Out 2021 Card After Rampage

Featuring CM Punk and the gang!

all out

AEW dealt their ace in the hole with CM Punk’s debut at AEW Rampage: The First Dance in Chicago. It was a moment that will forever be etched in wrestling history, with fans being reduced to soppy, emotional messes both in the United Centre and in living rooms across the world, myself included. AEW are undoubtedly riding on a high right now, and that will carry through to their flagship pay-per-view event, All Out, in just under two weeks’ time.

Some pretty huge matches have already been confirmed for the show, including a dream clash for the AEW Championship between Kenny Omega and Christian Cage, as well as the now confirmed return match for CM Punk against Darby Allin. However, with this shaping up to become the biggest All Elite event to date, there’s definitely going to be some equally exciting supporting matches on the card as well as the main events.

Let’s run down some potential matches that could be added to the All Out 2021 card in the next couple of weeks leading up to the Chi-town show. These will be based on current programmes and feuds that are unfolding on Dynamite and Rampage, as well as some personal speculation and fantasy booking that I’d love to see come together for a pay-per-view that nobody wants to miss.

1. Jurassic Express vs The Young Bucks – Steel Cage Match for the AEW Tag Team Championship

Source: AEW

The AEW Tag Team Championship tournament is reaching its final leg, with Jurassic Express, Lucha Brothers and The Varsity Blondes all in the mix to earn a shot at The Young Bucks at AEW All Out. Considering the developing feud between The Elite and Jurassic Express due to their association with Christian Cage, it’s likely that we’ll see their sequel match to the Tag title encounter on Dynamite on the big stage.

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus have been a staple of AEW’s programming since it first aired in 2018, fans are more than ready to see the Jurassic duo take the next step up the ladder and dethrone the dominant Bucks. Although, for this to be a truly satisfying blow-off match between the two teams, a stipulation is necessary to make sure this is the title fight it deserves to be.

What with the Bucks’ penchant for securing wins via interference and other such dirty tactics, I personally think this should take place within a Steel Cage. AEW haven’t had a great many cage matches during its brief history, but the one they have had between Cody and Wardlow broke global headlines, I very much suspect this match will do the same.

2. Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston & Sting vs Daniel Garcia & 2.0

A surprising entry that seems to be coming together in time for All Out in Chicago is a six-man match between the teams of Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Sting, and the trio of Daniel Garcia and 2.0 (the former EverRise). The reason this is so shocking to be is that the latter team have only just burst out onto the roster, with Garcia already picking up some significant wins on Dark, making him a credible contender for a future championship match.

With 2.0 by his side, Garcia has struck up a feud with Darby Allin and ‘The Stinger’, but with Darby now set to face a debuting CM Punk, Sting is likely set to pull double duty, standing by his mentee during his main event while looking to two new allies to help put a beating on these young kids.

Moxley and Kingston are the perfect duo to provide some star-studded backup, and it’ll be a great fight for the fans in Chicago to watch, especially if it ends up spilling out of the ring and into the crowds, which considering those involved is more of a when than an if.

Sting has been killing it in the squared circle as of late, he more than deserves a chance to be on the main card for All Out.

3. Britt Baker D.M.D vs Thunder Rosa – AEW Women’s Championship

The Women’s Championship scene has taken a bit of a backseat since the arrival of CM Punk and the developing feud between Kenny Omega and Christian Cage. Regardless, everyone is very much excited to see what Britt Baker D.M.D is going to achieve next, especially after her huge hometown reaction in Pittsburgh. Many consider Baker to be one of AEW’s top home-grown stars, alongside Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin, so she undoubtedly deserves a big money match at All Out this year.

As far as challengers go, Thunder Rosa currently seems the best placed to make the case for a championship match. Her rankings currently put her in the number 2 position, with Kris Statlander taking the top spot (who is also a very worthy challenger). But considering the history that Rosa and Baker have had in AEW, with their bloody battle becoming the talk of the industry a few short months ago, it makes sense for them to headline the women’s side of All Out.

This may not be Baker’s final match as AEW Women’s Champion, but these two are destined to put on one belter of a title fight.

4. Miro vs Orange Cassidy – TNT Championship

Miro

Miro has been a fantastic TNT Champion, taking on all comers in the form of: Lance Archer, Feugo Del Sol and Lee Johnson. With All Out fast approaching, it doesn’t seem as if ‘The Redeemer’ has much in the way of a title feud currently on the cards, with most of his matches coming from rankings-based decisions as opposed to any personal grudges.

Taking a look at the current singles standings, Orange Cassidy seems to be the best placed individual to warrant a mid-card title shot. Cassidy has been one of the wrestlers I’ve had penned to become a TNT Champion since its inception last year, and Miro could be a great opponent for him to topple on his road to superstardom. Miro has been dominant and downright unstoppable at times, so the fans in Chicago would have a great time getting behind this perennial underdog as he attempts to climb the mountain that is Miro.

This should be a really fun match, whether this is Cassidy’s crowning moment or not is up for debate, but I can’t wait to see him bump like crazy for the big man.

5. Chris Jericho vs MJF

Source: AEW

One of AEW’s top profile feuds right now is the conclusion to the Chris Jericho/MJF saga. This rivalry has spanned across an entire year, starting with MJF’s induction into the Inner Circle, leading to the formation of the Pinnacle and the chaos that was Stadium Stampede II. Now that Jericho has fought through the 5 labours on AEW Dynamite, it begs the question of how exactly they’re going to put this blood feud to bed.

There will undoubtedly be some sort of violent stipulation added to this match, perhaps some form of hardcore match or even a totally unique genre of professional wrestling that we’ve yet to experience in AEW. Knowing the creative mind of Chris Jericho, he’s got a few things up his sleeve for this finale.

This should secure a space on the All Out card, even if it does end up being a standard one-on-one match. As long as MJF allows Chris to enter to Judas this time, we’re all set for one heck of a ride.

6. Malakai Black vs Cody Rhodes

Malakai Black

Malakai Black has made a huge impact since joining AEW to the point where he has forced the head-honcho to threaten retirement. Black’s debut match against Cody Rhodes was a fun affair that felt like it should have been placed on some sort of pay-per-view, but having it end on such an inconclusive note means that they can re-run the encounter in a few weeks time in front of a major audience.

Fans may not be as hot on Cody as they first were when AEW opened its doors, but with Rhodes seemingly tying up his career with a few final bangers, this could be a great way for Malakai Black to kickstart this new chapter of his career, while giving Cody the retirement match he deserves in AEW.

Black is a surefire bet to ascend into the AEW Championship picture in a few months time, and what a great start this would be for him on his road to either Kenny Omega or Christian Cage.

7. Andrade El Idolo vs PAC

Andrade

Andrade El Idolo may have been unsuccessful in his attempts to capture the AAA Mega Championship from Kenny Omega at TripleMania, but his feud with ‘The Bastard’ PAC and Death Triangle looks to be his way to pull back some momentum.

This match could potentially steal the whole show. With both former NXT Champions two of the most low-key best wrestlers in the world today, there’s no doubt that they’ll put together one hell of a match come All Out.

Andrade needs to walk away with a big win to help kickstart his AEW singles career, as after taking that loss to Omega, his star power is hanging on somewhat of a string. PAC also seems to be dawdling in the background of things, so here’s hoping a 5* clash between he and El Idolo could help rejuvenate his standings in AEW post-pandemic.

8. Sammy Guevara vs Shawn Spears

I’d pencil this as a likely Buy-In match for All Out, which is a huge draw for the pre-show considering the two names involved.

‘The Spanish God’ Sammy Guevara is slowly evolving into one of AEW’s hottest young guns, potentially on the road to a singles championship as he continues to flourish as part of the Inner Circle. His feud with Shawn Spears has developed into a weekly ordeal on Dynamite, with their most recent clash resulting in chairs aplenty.

I’d say a final blow-off match between the two would be a perfect curtain-jerker for All Out, giving both Guevara and Spears a chance to show their best stuff on the big stage and springboard Guevara into bigger things as we reach the end of the year.
