The latest DLC expansion for The Sims 4 is now live, as The Sims 4: Star Wars – Journey To Batuu will allow players to explore the world of a galaxy far, far away with their created Sims family. It also means you’ll be able to take a dump with Kylo Ren and the gang, so that’s a 10/10 from us, I guess. Check out the trailer below.
Players will be able to travel to the planet of Batuu, which is based off of the Galaxy’s Edge attraction at Disneyland. Players will be able to interact with various characters from the franchise, including Rey and Kylo Ren, complete special missions of either the Resistence or the First Order, and create your own lightsaber to boot. Naturally, you can bring all these goodies home with you when you’re done, meaning you can run around your normal neighbourhood with a lightsaber and droid if you like.
Journey to Batuu is the first Sims expansion to be based on a movie franchise, and its existence hasn’t really gone down that well. Fans feel like there are still improvements to be made in regards to the core gameplay mechanics, so to ignore all that in favour of some DLC based on an established property feels like a kick in the teeth. That being said, people will likely come around on this expansion once they’ve found a way to make “woohoo” with C3PO.
