Knowing how to evolve Pokémon is something learned over time. Those familiar with the game series will know that certain Pokémon require an evolution stone before they will evolve and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are no different, including Thunder Stones.
If you’re setting out across the new Paldea region trying to complete your Pokédex, knowing the location of Evolution Stones will be invaluable. Thunder Stones help certain electric Pokémon to evolve. Tadbulb will evolve into Bellibolt, Eevee will evolve into Jolteon, Pikachu will evolve into Raichu and Magneton will evolve into Magnezone. Here’s where to find Thunder Stones in Scarlet and Violet.
After defeating three gym leaders, you can buy Thunder Stones from Delibird Presents stores. There is a Delibird Presents shop in Mesagoza, Levincia and Cascarrafa. Their stock of evolution stones will cost 3,000 Pokédollars or 3,000 League Points each. If you can’t see them in store, it just means you need to progress the Victory Road story path a little further.
Thunder Stones are also scattered across the map for free. It’s quite rare to find them, but they do exist specifically in West Province (Area One) and Levincia.
