Psyduck is a returning Pokemon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that has been in the franchise since Generation I. Psyduck is a Water-type Pokémon who utlises plenty of Psychic moves and has one evolution, Golduck.
To evolve Psyduck into Golduck, players have to level Psyduck up to level 33.
Levelling up is fairly straightforward in Scarlet and Violet thanks to EXP Share, but some Psyducks can be caught at fairly low levels so it’s quite the levelling curve. As long as you keep winning battles (and even just catching Pokémon), you will level up Psyduck in no time. You can also use a Rare Candy for a free level up, but remember to only try and use them when you’ve just levelled up.
If you wish to stop Psyduck evolving into Golduck, just press B when they start to evolve, or give them an Everstone to hold.
