Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl both feature plenty of battles, with you no doubt facing countless wild Pokémon around the Sinnoh region when you venture into tall grass or tall grass. If you’re sick of running into Zubats, there is a way to avoid the random battles.
To avoid random battles in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you need to use a Repel.
Repel can most commonly be bought from Poké Marts for 350 Pokémon Dollars, though it isn’t immediately available to buy.
Once used from your Bag, the Repel will be effective against lower level Pokémon for 100 steps. Bear in mind that any more powerful Pokémon will still appear.
Players will also eventually be able to buy the Super Repel and Max Repel, two more effective versions of the item that are effective for more steps.
