PlayStation State of Play Recap: Iron Man VR, Days Gone, Concrete Genie & More

Not exactly E3 2.0.

Days Gone

The first State of Play is in the rearview mirror after a quick video presentation showing new PS4 and VR games as well as updates on a few we already know about. Truthfully, there was nothing that mind-blowing about it, but it was a short and snappy way of getting updates on burning questions that did its job well enough. Those expecting their minds to be blown may be left disappointed.

Here’s everything that went down at the first State of Play.

Sorry about the slow loading times if you get ’em, lots of embeds.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR

My first thought was that this would be a new game from Insomniac, but nay. Marvel’s Iron Man VR launches later this year, developed by Camouflaj.

Crash Team Racing

Exclusive content revealed for PS4, including retro skins. Good to see Sony and Activision are at their nonsense again. Will also feature content from Nitro Kart.

Observation

We’ve had a keen eye on this, and now we know that it launches May 21st. Published by Devolver, so expect the unexpected.

Blood & Truth

The only VR game Ash seems to like now has a release date: May 28th.

Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted

What year is it? No release date for this FNAF VR game yet; expect MatPat to make nine hours of content off this trailer.

ReadySet Heroes

A neat little dungeon crawler where you compete against other players and then have a big bloody blowout at the end. No release date.

No Man’s Sky Beyond

Another glimpse at the new update, which will also have VR support. I am scared and also intrigued.

PSVR Sizzle Reel

A quick look at new PSVR games. Falcon Age looks quite dope.

Concrete Genie

A new trailer for Concrete Genie, which (if I remember the initial release window correctly) has been delayed until Fall 2019 now.

Days Gone

A new story trailer featuring Deacon doing serious things. I could have sworn his wife was dead. Releases April 26th.

Mortal Kombat 11

And finally, another look at MK11, this time focusing on the younger versions of characters getting into mishaps.
