Oh my god, can you believe that Playground Games, developers of the Forza Horizon series, are working on a brand new Fable? I’m just as shocked as you are, but you can see the news for yourself below with this CGI trailer, complete with obnoxious Optimised for Series X badge.
This brand new Fable, which has completely taken us off guard by the way, looks to be a huge reboot for the series. The game’s blurb on YouTube states that it’s “a new beginning” for the series, featuring “a land of fantastical creatures and wondrous places”. Even Playground’s creative director, Ralph Fulton, was shocked at how little the game has leaked in the past.

Alright, so it’s been a bit of an open secret, but a new Fable game is a cause for celebration, and if the CGI trailer is anything to go by, Playground have absolutely nailed the tone of the series. The fact that it’ll launch day one as part of Xbox Game Pass is an added bonus.
