PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Success Just Keeps On Coming

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Despite being in early access, that hasn’t stopped PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds from becoming just about the hottest game going right now.

So hot, in fact, that it’s already banked developers Bluehole (and PlayerUnknown himself) $100million. That’s a lot of people who want to murder other people.

With 4 million copies sold already, 25% of its audience comes from the US, 19% from China, and a more even spread in countries across Europe. It managed to sell a million copies in its first two weeks.

The Battle Royale game has also recently been confirmed for Xbox One, so these numbers are only going to swell even more.

Battlegrounds’ success is pretty straightforward: a lot of jaded H1Z1 fans jumped ship to a more stable experience with plenty of new fans being made along the way. It’s regularly one of the most watched games on Steam and shows no signs of slowing down.
