Play Rainbow Six: Siege For Free This Weekend On All Platforms

Ubisoft are looking to lay "siege" to your free time. Yes, we regret that pun.

Seems like we’re going two for two on the Ubisoft free weekends, as it’s been announced that Rainbow Six: Siege will be running a free play event on all platforms (PS4, Xbox & PC via UPlay and Steam) this weekend. This is following on from For Honor’s free event last year, which we all played, didn’t we? For Honor isn’t dead. No sir.

The event, which will run from Thursday November 16th to Sunday November 19th, will give players on all platforms unlimited access to Rainbow Six: Siege, including the operations, co-op and multiplayer. Naturally, a PS+ Subscription or Xbox Live Gold membership are required to take part.

If you choose to purchase the game afterwards, all progress will carry over. Plus, from November 16-27, Rainbow Six: Siege will be available for 60% off digitally across the board, though shopping around on Black Friday would probably net you an even better deal.

This free weekend comes in the run-up to both the Siege Pro League Finals which will be held this Sunday, and the Operation White Noise update which will add 3 new operators and a new map based in South Korea. More details about the White Noise update will be revealed during the finals, though it is known that the test server for the update will go live on November 20th.

Personally, I’m excited for this event, if only for the opportunity to hustle the online matchmaking for some easy XP. You’ve been warned. What are your thoughts on this news? Are you yet to experience Rainbow Six: Siege? Sound off in the comments.
