Piers Anthony’s Xanth Series Heading To The Big Screen

You may recall that a little while ago we interviewed legendary fantasy author piers Anthony and spoke in detail about his acclaimed novel series Xanth. A lot more people are about to become accustomed with the magic of Anthony’s writing, as Variety has exclusively learned that Ghost in the Shell producer Steven Paul’s SP Entertainment Group is planning to turn Xanth into both a film and a TV series.

Details are scarce, but we know that Spike Seldi and Hans Futterman will produce alongside Paul. It is currently unclear if a major studio are onboard to finance and distribute both the film and the series, but what is clear is that Xanth is finally going to be getting its dues on the big screen. It won’t be long now before we can finally leave dreary Mundania behind and enter a land of magic.
